It’s official, Glasgow is a UK property hotspot!
That’s according to property website, Zoopla, which has carried out UK-wide research to identify the length of time a property takes to go ‘under offer’ on the site from the moment it went up for sale.
Glasgow is coming in at an average of 33 days, which puts it within the top 5 and placing above cities like Bristol and Southampton. Lawrence Hall, of Zoopla, said the average length of time between putting a home up for sale and achieving an offer is 47 days across the UK, so Glasgow is well above average. Alongside Edinburgh, the list shows that 2 of Scotland’s major cities are competing at the top level.
At the other end of the scale, Wales was not so lucky, with properties taking more than two months to go under offer, averaging at 66 days.
Zoopla’s Top 10 Property Hotspots are as follows:
1. Northampton (27 days)
2. Milton Keynes (29)
3. Croydon (30)
4. Edinburgh (32)
5. Glasgow (33)
=6. Bristol (34)
=6. Southampton (34)
8. Coventry (35)
=9. Salford (36)
=9. Ipswich (36)
